Sun Spot Press is an independent press devoted to examining the edges of human experience. We publish narrative nonfiction that explores ultra-endurance, isolation, physical and mental limits, and the quiet trials of spirit and self. Our books bring to light the unusual, the obscure, and the deeply human through immersive storytelling and rigorous inquiry.

Our flagship collection, the Human Potential: Challenges Series, documents encounters with the outer limits of body, mind, and meaning. Each book in the series captures a distinct facet of what it means to be tested, transformed, and human.
